Biography

Delmy Ruíz is an instructor and program associate for Mantener el Camino and BA Equivalency Pathway in the Center for Religion and Spirituality. Formerly an administrator in the LMU School of Education, she brings her expertise in academic counseling and administration to her work here the Center.

In the LMU School of Education, Ms. Ruíz was assistant director of the Center for Catholic Education from 2017 to 2020, managed the Catholic Archdiocesan School Teachers (CAST), and served as an academic advisor to both CAST and Partners in Los Angeles Catholic Education (PLACE Corps) students from 2014 to 2017. She was a research associate on various research projects for the Center for Catholic Education.

Ms. Ruíz is a former member of the LMU School of Education Alumni Association Board, and mentor in LMU's First-to-Go program. She earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology and Chicano/Latino Studies from the University of California at Irvine, and her master's degree in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from LMU.
